About this property

Welcome to Sofitel Mexico City Reforma

Situated on the iconic Avenida Paseo de la Reforma in Mexico City, Sofitel Mexico City Reforma offers a contemporary setting blending modern luxury with a cosmopolitan vibe. The hotel features sleek, modern rooms complemented by two contemporary restaurants and three bars, including the well-reviewed Balta, ensuring a variety of dining and drinking options on-site. Additional amenities include a gym and parking facilities, catering to guests looking for comfort and convenience during their stay.

The location provides easy access to some of the city’s most renowned cultural landmarks, such as the Museo Nacional de Antropología, Palacio de Bellas Artes, and Chapultepec Castle, all highly rated attractions nearby. Travelers benefit from proximity to Mexico City International Airport Benito Juárez, approximately 27 minutes away by car, making arrivals and departures straightforward. Though not situated in the trendier neighborhoods of Condesa or Roma Norte, the hotel’s position on Reforma places guests within reach of both historic mansions and modern skyscrapers, alongside diverse dining options.

Guest reviews generally praise the attentive and warm service, highlighting the professionalism of the staff and the quality of amenities like the rooftop pool and breakfast buffet. However, some noted inconsistencies with room assignments and the check-in process, emphasizing the importance of clear communication prior to arrival. The mix of feedback suggests that while the hotel delivers a high standard of service and comfort, a few operational aspects could benefit from refinement.

LGBTQ+ travelers will find the property welcoming, reflecting an inclusive atmosphere. Its upscale, cosmopolitan style suits visitors seeking a polished urban experience amid Mexico City's cultural and historical richness. Whether for business or leisure, Sofitel Mexico City Reforma aims to meet the needs of guests looking for a blend of modern facilities and a central, accessible location.

I had a beautiful room for my four night stay. Exactly what I needed for a long birthday weekend. A mention to the absolutely wonderful Eloina Martinez, who I met in the elevator and made sure I slept well by sending tea to my room! If she isn’t running the entire hotel, she should be. What an exceptional human being and leader, promote her immediately. You can hear music from the clubs below into the early morning hours, ask for a quiet room if you are a lite sleeper. I was on the 28th floor and it was noticeable.

The service is incredible. They truly go above and beyond to make your stay an experience Miranda was absolutely precious in securing my wife the last guava pastry. Gonzalo makes certain that our day starts off with the perfect mimosa and stellar service. Thank you to all !

Upon check-in, we were initially assigned a different room than the one we had reserved months in advance. While the room was beautiful and presented as an upgrade, it was on a lower floor and did not offer the bathtub view we had specifically booked and confirmed ahead of time (including email confirmation and a 3D model shared by the team). We were advised to return the following morning to be moved, as availability was expected. Although we were first told no rooms were available, after further discussion a cancellation was found and we were ultimately placed in the room we had booked from the start. The Junior Suite with an Ángel de la Independencia view was absolutely spectacular and truly made the stay. While the initial handling of the room allocation could have been smoother, what truly stands out at Sofitel Reforma is the exceptional quality of the staff. From the bell team to Club Millésime, everyone was genuinely warm, attentive, and incredibly kind to our young daughter. Their hospitality made us feel truly welcome and is the main reason we are awarding five stars. One small point to note: cocktails at Club Millésime were billed separately, which came as a surprise as no menu or pricing was provided. That said, the mezcalitas were excellent (among the best we had in Mexico) and we were happy to enjoy them. A bit more clarity upfront would simply elevate the experience further. We will absolutely return to Sofitel Reforma on our next visit to Mexico City for the service, the views, and the atmosphere. With a little more consistency around room assignments and transparency, the experience would be flawless.

We loved our stay of Sofitel, and will definitely return. Patrica, Diego, and Ramon were amazing people who we enjoyed speaking to and made our stay great! It was well located, quiet, and clean. We enjoyed the pool, sauna, rooftop bar. The breakfast buffet was next level.

Amazing experience. Rooms were very nicely appointed with excellent views and amenities. Very comfortable bed as well. Staff were superb - extremely helpful and professional. Only had breakfast at the hotel, but the buffet options were great. Also loved having a drink on the rooftop bar. Don’t miss the pool - the view is incredible! Would love to stay here again.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and luxurious! Every detail — from the walls and sofa to the bed, shower, and bathroom — is stunning. The service was excellent; housekeeping cleaned our room every time we stepped out, which was such a thoughtful touch . The only downside was the check-in process — you have to take one elevator to reach the front desk, then another to get to your room. It’s a bit inconvenient. Other than that, you truly get what you pay for. A wonderful stay overall! However, I wouldn’t recommend the rooftop bar. The bartenders and staff seemed to have some attitude issues. We will book and stay here if we are back to Mexico City again.

I came to visit CDMX for a week and Sofitel was the perfect choice. As a travel agent I booked rooms for myself, my parents, and my friend with the possibility of room upgrades for all of us and we all got upgraded to luxurious rooms. Service at breakfast and throughout our stay was also excellent with them remembering where we’d like to sit in the restaurant and being punctual with drink orders. Service in general was also excellent. I’d highly recommend for a great stay in Mexico City!

Not the boutique hotel we normally prefer, but unable to find one we liked, we went for a big name we've had good luck with before. Location is fine, but not in the more "fun" areas like Condesa or Roma Nte, although it's close enough for easy access. On Sundays when Reforma is closed it's perfect for a bike ride to the park. We stayed in a Millesime room and it was lovely. Bed was too firm, but they actually have mattress toppers to fix that. Staff super friendly and helpful. Also, the club level offers free (limited selection) meals. We ate breakfast there and it was perfect for our needs (healthy and tasty) - good cereal, bread, fruit etc.
